Inspiration for winter

Sadly, summer is drawing to a close. Now is the time to start preparing are wardrobes for the chilly winter months soon upon us. However winter is my favourite time of the year and I love winter fashion.

I believe it is important to have staples in your wardrobe for example invest in a warm winter coat, a timeless handbag, boots ect. If you pick wisely you will have these items for many years! For me personally I love to have a good pair of boots, dazzling handbag to jazz up any outfit and plenty of skirts to wear with thick tights and warm cable knit jumpers. Also every girl needs a few paris of jeans. This year I brought three new colours: bright pink for summer or winter, dark blue and green (pictures below).

This winter a huge trend is leather trousers, I was brought a pair last year for Christmas from Zara.

Another trend this winter is knee high boots. Although when getting ready in the mornings I always pull on a pair of Uggs which are super comfy and warm.
Look from Gucci winter campaign 2013/14

For winter I use my black Juicy Couture bag which I love.

These are my black leather trousers from Zara, I can dress them up or down!

I brought these pink trousers recently in Jack Wills on sale and I think the colours gorgeous and will brighten up my winter wardrobe.

My green trousers from Zara, these go great with cream tops and boots.

Again from Zara, as their jeans fit my body perfectly, are just some plain dark blue jeans, which are handy to keep as they go with practically anything.

This is one of my winter outfits. The jumper and skirt are both from Jack Wills. I'll finish this look with thick tights and boots. (I like to have as many skirts and jumpers as possible in the winter!)

My favourite shops

As I live in Bristol the selection of shops isn't huge, so I end up traveling around and shopping online. I have gathered up my favourite shops some of which are american and can only buy unfortunately  online and shipping can be expensive or in London. So here you go! They are in no particular order.

1. Aubin & Wills, this is the sister shop of Jack Wills but more exculsive and is very British!

2. Ugg, in the winter I love the whole range of the ugg boots and I love all the eccessories like the scarfs, gloves and hats.

3. Forever 21, this is an american shop which I have loved for some time! They have a big shop in the centre of London or you can order online.

4. Zara, the very popular Spanish high street label. Sometimes it can get a little pricey but their jeans are always great.

5. Juicy Couture, again another american designer and is expensive but has been one of my ultimate favourites for years. I love their cute handbags and jewellery.
6. H&M, in here you can find bargains and some some copies from high fashion labels.

7. Topshop, this shop is fun and stylish and I like their nail polish and makeup.
8. Louis Vuitton, I love watching the fashion shows! Its always so chic and their handbags are to die for. However especially abroad you can get amazing fakes.

9. Jack Wills, this shop is very British

My favourite summer beauty products

For summer make-up I keep to a natural sun sunkissed look. I don't wear all the products all at the same time, for example if I have the face and lips I don't wear the eyes. And I like to try out different colours to change it up or you get bored! Below I'm showing all of my favourite products I recommend all of them!

1.

This lip bullet from topshop is £8 it gives the perfect shimmer to your lips and is very complementary to any skin colour.

2.

The Clinique dramatically different moisturiser costs £17 - £29.50, I use this moisturiser twice a day after clensing and toning.

3.

This accessorize Diamond lip gloss has been one of my favourites for a long time when it was bought for me as a birthday gift. They do lots of different shades but this is definitely my favourite. It works great for both summer and winter. The price is £4.

4.

I love trying out new nail polishes! This summer the Chanel distraction shade has been one of favourites. I brought this shade in the airport so it was duty free and was £15 but normally they cost £18 . I have been really impressed with the Chanel polishes they stay on without chipping for a whole  week.

5.

The Solait bronzer gives off the perfect sun kissed look for summer. It is now on sale at Superdrug for  £3.29 was £4.99.

6.

Lancome do the best mascars all of them cost £22 but they last for a really long time. I was given this one for Christmas and still using it now!

7.

I don't often wear foundation but when I do I like to use the YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat. They do many shades to match your skin tone. The ladies on the counter help you to find your perfect match. This foundation comes in at £28!

8.

This BB cream by Boot's own brand 17 for teenage skin is amazing. It gives the perfect amount of coverage and helps improve skin it also has a spf25. Sometimes what I do especially for school is mix it with my moisiser which saves time if your running late in the morning.

Moscow style

Recently on my summer break I travelled to Moscow, Russia. Like all cities there are tourist areas and the "poverty" areas. Moscow overall was a vibrant and beautiful city - the streets buzzed with people from many cultures. Every morning the metro was jam packed, it was unlike any metro I had ever seen. The chandeliers were made from crystal and the floors marble. Moscow is quickly becoming a fashion capital, having an influence on the rest of the world!

Moscow underground

The one thing that surprised me most when in Moscow was how the women dressed. Their appearance was immaculate, all with manicures and sky scraper stilettos. I was amazed to see how effortlessly they strutted up and down stairs and on and off the escalators without one wobble.

In the centre is Red Square and the Kremlin, and they were full of tourists. The size of it was just HUGE! The amount of wealth was incredible.

GUM, State owned shopping centre

The shopping centre pictured above is known as GUM, and is very famous. Inside there is every "posh" shop imaginable.  There are three levels inside and three columns (which can get rather confusing).

Recently this moth on July 9th Dior put on its second show in Moscow outside GUM, Red Square - the first show was held in 1959. Especially for the Dior show a mirrored pavilion was made.
